Serene Bear Yoga

I'm proud to be an RYT 200 trained by YogaFit Worldwide.  All yoga classes are based on the YogaFit Three Mountain format for safety and student comfort. Serene Bear Yoga is currently teaching regular classes in person at Cauldron and Thorne. If you would like to join us or renew your class package, reach out to me at serenebearyoga@gmail.com. Yoga Foundations

yoga has a place for everyone

For me, yoga is a continuation of physical therapy.
For you, it may be the means to maintain and improve strength and flexibility.
Whatever your goal, yoga has a place for you.

This is not a challenge to turn yourself into a pretzel.
This is an hour and a half introduction to the practice of yoga.  We will discuss breathing and breath control, breakdown and experience six foundation poses that you'll see in almost every yoga sequence and cover the basics of meditation.
I'll have a mat and block available for you to use, just bring yourself, your water bottle
and your "can do" attitude.

Walking Yoga

This class is offered through the

Millcreek Township Recreation and Parks Department.  

An hour long walk on the trails of Scott park combined with the movement of Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga.  We will bring our intention to being present in the moment through movement and breath work.

Full Moon Yoga

This class is offered through Cauldron and Thorne.

A one and a half hour long practice combing the chakra balanancing movement of Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga with restorative poses and a short Nidra.  We will utilize the energy of the full moon to align our intentions through movement and breath work.

Seated Yoga

By Appointment

The Seated Yoga class is designed for minds that want stimulation and bodies that like to be supported fully and may not appreciate postures supported by the arms or knees on the floor.


Seated Yoga class offers a rigorous experience that engages the body from foot to crown, including many modifications that offer range of motion, strength and flexibility improvement. 

If the client chooses, chair supported balance poses can be incorporated.

 

Group classes or individual sessions can be negotiated.

Chair Assisted Yoga

Tuesdays and Thursdays

5:00 pm at Cauldron and Thorne

Others by appointment.

The Chair Assisted Yoga Class is designed for minds that want relaxation and bodies that want to be engaged fully but may not appreciate postures supported by the arms or knees on the floor.
Chair Assisted Yoga begins with meditation seated in a chair and builds to standing postures for strength and range of motion then returns to chair seated for stretching and rest.  Several props including the chair are used during our practice for safety and support. Students seeking a regular Seated Chair Yoga practice may attend this class with modifications. 
Chair Assisted class may be a good first step for new yogis or those returning to their regular practice and those that just want a change.

Group classes or individual sessions can be negotiated.

Multi Level Yoga

Tuesdays and Thursdays

6:15 pm at Cauldron and Thorne

Others by appointment.

The Multi Level Yoga class is designed for minds that want the clarifying experience that a Hatha / Vinyasa Flow class can provide, and bodies that need safe and relaxing challenges to strength and range of motion.

Multi Level class allows the student to focus on the breath/movement relationship through the entire practice from meditation to rest.  Cues for postures include many levels of modification, allowing the student to feel secure with what their body needs in the moment. Multiple props are incorporated for variety and safety in postures.
 

Group classes or individual sessions can be negotiatied.

is located at 2724 West 8th Street, Erie Pa, 16505.  You may enter the classroom through the main store or directly from the parking lot.
